Bluestone track and field competes at Amelia
The Bluestone track and field squads had several notable individual performances at its meet at Amelia on April 3.
On the boys’ side, Neil Clayton won the discus with a throw of 129 feet, 9 inches, and also won the shot put with a heave of 43 feet, 6 inches. Jaylen Crawley finished second in the discus with a distance of 96 feet, 8 inches.
Frank Csorba capture the 1,600-meter run with a time of 4:48, and Desean Hargrove finished second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11:59 and third in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.33.
On the girls’ side, Kaliyah Hargrove won the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.75 and finished second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13:01. Jalen Dailey was second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.15.
Shardine’ Royster finished third in the long jump with a leap of 13 feet, 9.5 inches.
Felicia Nelson was third in both the discus and shot put, throwing the discus 60 feet, 9 inches, and the shot put 22 feet, 5 inches.
The team of Royster, Hargrove, Dailey and Makayla Mason won the 400-meter relay with a time of 55 seconds.
